Symphony in the City

Was awesome. Guy Noble, the conductor is a funny guy and both the Carmina Burana pieces and the 1812 Overture (with cannons!) stood out for sheer musical grandeur. Much love to [livejournal.com profile] grouchiegrrl  for the excellent seating.

I also note there is a dude driving around town in a black Lotus with GOTHAM plates *grins*.

I'd love to have gone to this if I'd been in the city, but I'd just got home again after two days.

Great car photo!!

Blast!!

I wish I'd known.

I love all those pieces.

Guy Noble rocks. Last time I saw him conduct he was wearing a Princess costume, complete with pink cone-dunce hat.

It was great - Guy seems like a very cool guy! You'll have to come next year.
