TBA Rogaine - competing with Shane and Bruce
The Rogaine turned out to be yet another fabulous attempt to walk the fine line between pleasure and pain. We did maybe 30km over 10 hours with a lot of hilly ground in beautiful bushland and some 9" parrot bush (not beautiful). Shane fell into a rabbit hole, slipped on a wet rock, tripped over a log, walked into a stick and generally did his best to injure himself while Bruce and I were far less exciting. My (extremely) manly team mates failed to bring wet weather gear so the thunder, forked lighting and scattered downpours were a bit of a dampener but overall it was great.
My left foot and knee are a bit stunned - probably due to a memorable slide down a wet embankment and I had one pepper tick when I got home,
maharetr I really, *really* want someone to triple check the less easy to see bits [paranoid][begs].
The boys took a lot of pictures of scenery and people and I took my usual photos of weather and bugs.
