No BA job for me but look! LJ is bluetiful
Came home to rejection letter for dream job in the mail, considered sulking but remembered had 10 tennis balls in Cyril's boot and amused self by giving all of them to woofer at once. Oh that was good fun yes it was. Oh humour, oh silliness.
Have also separated Elkhorns and am feeling a bit less obsessed now.
Read Silverglass by JF Rivkin. It's terrible, was originally published in 1986 and has all the hallmarks of a male fantasy novel where the women have perfect breasts, big swords, drink vast amounts of ale and shag everything that moves. Thankfully it also has very funny dialogue and although it appears to have been written from the perspective of the wrong character it's still entertaining.
Also finished reading some more books by Lois McMaster Bujold.
Shards of Honour Whereby Captain Cordelia Naismith meets the 'Butcher of Komarr' with unexpected results. Has some fabulous dialogue, am having a very good time. Rather liked the scene where she accidentally kicks 'Steady Freddy' the Betan president in the groin on national television.
Barrayar Wherein Cordelia attempts to understand Barrayar society with terrifying and hilarious results and Aral inherits a five year old emperor. Of course this could only lead to civil war but that's OK because Cordelia has gone shopping.
Falling Free Leo Graf thinks he is going to teach engineering to bright young things on the Cay Habitat and that is exactly what he does until the future of his genetically altered students is threatened. Pfft, how hard can it be to hijack a space habitat?
Ethan of Athos Poor Ethan, all he wanted was to be a exemplary obstetrician, raise sons and ensure the future of his all-male planet. What a pity the embryonic cultures they use to reproduce are dying and a new supply must be procured. In his search for a decent supplier Ethan will encounter the source of all Evil (females), a rogue telepath and far too many newts.
Safe House by Andrew Vachss is another of the 'Burke' books, it's grim, nasty and dark and getting a trifle repetitive. Oh well, was worth a rocking $1.50. Did I lend all the others to someone? I can't seem to find anything to shelve this next to.

*wears tight sparkly clothes and poses dramatically*
Thank you, I shall bring the woofer and we shall enjoy ourselves lifting things.
Should we include things like shovel / gloves etc?

Thanks for offering to come out. It's a terrible mess and sometimes seems a bit overwhelming when I look at all that needs to be done.
