My current fannish project is acting as Chair of Accessibility, Design, & Technology (AD&T), the Committee designing and building the Archive of Our Own (AO3) as a project of The Organization for Transformative Works (OTW). Yeah, acronyms are weirdly attractive after all that. The short version of what that is and what it means to me is on the AO3 in story form because while I don't really identify as a writer I can do a pretty mean cracktastic collage.

I'm posting to DW, crossposting to LJ and erratically importing comments to DW. I also post random stuff to DW that I don't bother to post to LJ but it tends to be stuff relevant only to myself or the DW crowd.

My actual bio: Born. And quite a shock it was too - parents were living in a tiny town called Bethany and I was all set to be the second coming when they noticed it didn't have a hospital and decamped to Tanunda. Spent the next four years in a rural Gnostic Christian commune (failed to become a Christian) - terrible thing to do to an innocent toddler but great opportunity to catch frogs and fail to milk goats correctly. Was exposed to a great deal of alternative religions, lifestyles and persons. Rebelled by becoming a business systems analyst and public servant. Hah! Take that parentals.

I geek. I get dreadfully excited about science trivia, TV shows and really good typos. I hike, kayak and rogaine, I have a dog that I adore. I don't think it's possible to own too many books. I collect random crap, friends, toys, and brightly coloured things. I flap my hands when I think something is really funny. I take photos of flowers and bugs, I can draw but my humans always look like kangaroos.
